HardCorePawn
Howdy, The install (10.4.3 with Jas 4.2b patch iso, 8F1111a) was pretty sweet and its running quite well. Unfortunately this machine has the 'Integrated Broadcom netXtreme gigabit ethernet', but after unscrewing the plate on a full height Realtek 8139c 10/100 PCI network card, i'm on the network... The last little issue that I have is the sound. I just havent been able to get a peep out of it... I believe that this machine (with Intel 945G chipset) has a Realtek ALC260 audio chipset. Has anyone managed to get one of these beasts working? I have tried adding in the Device/Vendor string (0x026010ec) in a number of .kexts and got nothing. I have tried: /System/Library/Extensions/AppleAC97Audio.kext/Contents/PlugIns/AppleAC97AudioIntelICH.kext/Contents/Info.plist /System/Library/Extensions/AppleAzaliaAudio.kext/Contents/PlugIns/AppleAzaliaController.kext/Contents/Info.plist /System/Library/Extensions/AppleHDA.kext/Contents/PlugIns/AppleHDAController.kext/Contents/Info.plist any help or other ideas would be appreciated. cheers, HCP Link to comment https://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/9524-install-ok-but-realtek-alc260-audio-issue/ Share on other sites
