Kimari
I've been reading through the several OSx86 boards to get ready to build my new computer. From the masses of topics, its clear that setting up OSx86 can potentially be a hassle, but it's obviously doable as many/most of you have. I'm pretty set that I'm willing to go though the process, assuming it's worth it. What information that I haven't been been able to find is post set up stability. Once everything is installed and I have the right drivers and ktexts, etc etc and all my components are working properly, is Leopard any less stable in it's general use than it would be running off Apple hardware? I don't want to go through all the trouble and money just to find that I'm constantly getting kernel panics and crashes two months down the line, or rather any more crashing than I would had I bought a Mac. UnaClocker
On my Intel setup (the one in my sig) yes, it's every bit as stable as it was on the Mac Mini I used to have (which ran Tiger, not Leopard). Very stable, perfect uptimes. I'm very happy with it. Link to comment https://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/95151-stability/#findComment-678325 Share on other sites
