joedredd
I've done a few searches and can only find a couple of people with the same issue and no resolution so I'm hoping I could try to find a solution myself. I've looked in a few logs but can't see anything relating to the problem I'm having. I'm running a P5W-DH with Quadcore CPU, GeForce 880 GTS 512Mb. Leopard is about as virgin as you can get it using EFI v8 Boot and the graphics card ID has been entered into the plist so no need for NVinject (although I was using only NVinject before with the same issue) What I'm seeing is the 'blue screen' randomly appearing (within seconds), then fading back to desktop. Nothing else is affected. Sometimes it goes for minutes without happening. There was a thread here - but it's been largely ignored - http://forum.insanelymac.com/index.php?sho...mp;#entry676739 so I was hoping posting in this section might encourage a response from some kind soul. Are there any tips for troubleshooting this kind of issue? What logs to look at etc? Thanks. joedredd
For everyones reference it looks like I've sorted it by installing the latest NVinstaller from http://scottdangel.com/blog/ Just the latest kexts, none of the other stuff for me. joedredd
Maybe I have. Whilst looking at Top running I noted after a particularly long blue screen a process called DMProxy jumped to the top, that led me to find this..so far so good. http://www.macworld.com/article/49522/2006/02/fuscolor.html Link to comment https://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/95064-best-way-to-diagnose-video-problems/#findComment-698319 Share on other sites
