Before I take the plunge and waste time (even if I fail Ubuntu is waiting in the wings plus I am tired of Windows!) my question is based on what you guys see here; how much of a hill am I up against? Before I go trough with it I need suggestions ... Should I use a different install process? WHat ever the process I plan on wiping the entire laptop harddrive and starting fresh No partitions as I seem to have read around to KISS (keep it simple stupid). I need any and all validate suggestions. Thank you for your time and attention in this matter. By the by, I plan on using tax rebate check for a mac mini, this is a big step for me as I recently have decided against using the same money for a next Gen gaming console (note: name of NExt Gen console withheld ... Johnny Moore Posted March 30, 2008 Share Posted March 30, 2008 I have a CX2618 with the same specs except I'm running Vista Home Premium SP1 I installed Tiger 10.4.7 months ago and it worked fine. except the wireless I tried 10.4.8 a little later and the sound didnt work any more, neither the Intel 2200BG I'm currently downloading the leopard single layer version to install. i'll post back and tell how it works Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
