ZyGaMe Posted March 20, 2008 Share Posted March 20, 2008 My laptop just finished the install,but can't boot without the DVD,reboot again and again but use "tohkernel" to boot the system won't reboot ,but let me press power button.~ Kalyway 10.5.1 SSE2 SSE3 use vanilla&acpi support and EFI MBR to install DualCore Intel Wolfdale, 2100 MHz (74 x 28) Sony Corporation VGN-FZ37 Intel Crestline GL960/GM965/PM965 2048 MB (DDR2-667 DDR2 SDRAM) NVIDIA GeForce 8400M GT (256 MB) SigmaTel STAC9872AK @ Intel 82801HBM ICH8M - High Definition Audio Controller sorry for my poor english. komeet Posted March 20, 2008 Share Posted March 20, 2008 If you can't boot w/o DVD the Darwin bootloader hasn't been installed. Did you check the option in the customize setup options? If your system reboots during the boot sequence try cpus=1.
