I have a HP 8250 printer and it has a bunch of ports for smart cards and the like. When I boot/reboot with the printer on, it take a long time to boot and I get stuck on a black screen for about 4 minutes. When the printer is turned off and the computer boots/reboots, there is no such issue. While this is not a major issue, it does cause the computer to boot much longer than necessary.
