system lock up after adding different brand wireless card

hello

I have installed xXx 10.4.11 on a vaio laptop, all run well except no

QE/CI for 855GM but i got VESA which is fine with me.

 

I have few Cardbus wirelessless card in hand and 2 of them should able to run on Tiger,they are AR5001 and AR5212.

 

I have installed tiger IO80211.kext and edit 5424.kext with correct devide ID (in this case 5212)

one installed and chmod and chown.

reboot.

i can see a airport icon show up on top bar.

click to the network perference , it show airpoty detected and ask for setup.

one i click apply, the machine lock up.

 

i need to pull the card out to free it .

if I show it down by press the power button, i can not boot it back no matter how .

always show acpi driver can not be found and panic.

 

so i need to reinstall the system...

 

anyone know how to fix it?

i try also ar5001x card also have same issue
