darkstormcr Posted March 16, 2008 Share Posted March 16, 2008 First let me say I am very new to this...I tried tiger a long time ago with success, but I still think it took a stroke of luck....anyhow... I have iATKOS v1.0iR3, burned safely today at 4x. I unplugged my Windows drive and plugged in my spare drive, which is currently blank. My backup drive (200GB Maxtor) is not plugged in. The drive I am trying to install to is a Maxtor 160GB SATA. So I got to the Darwin screen, booted in, did the whole -v thing and watched it tick stuff down the page. It got to: Mac OS Version: Not yet set Kernel Version: Darwin Kernel Version 9.1.0: Sat Nov 17...time etc...; made by ToH: xnu-1228.0.2~1/BUILD/obj/RELEASE_I386 and then it just sits there. no HD or optical activity. Edit: apparently this is a 'kernel panic'..I'll add that to my vocab...but still stuck... any advice is great... thanks Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
