infrared595
Hi Everyone, Unfortunately my attempts at installation haven't got very far... I have a DVD burned with the Kalyway 10.5.1 image. When entering the Darwin environment to install Leopard, (in -v verbose mode) I get the following error: "Darwin loading HFS+ file: [mach_kernel] from EBIOS read error: device timeout block 8939856 sectors 64" I have no idea what this means!?!? - Any thoughts? My system spec is as follows: Acer TravelMate 5720 Intel C2D T7300 (SSE2 SSE3) Intel GM965 Chipset Pheonix BIOS 1GB DDR2 RAM Mobile Intel GMA X3100 Many thanks Link to comment https://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/93966-issue-with-darwin-bootloader/ Share on other sites
Chrillss
Yeah, a failure when writing to the dvd. If you have the possibility to use another dvd-burner, do it! Otherwise, try burning with the lowest speed possible, and you may want to use a good burning software, for example Nero.
