hmm, i'm stumped. you should be able to hit F8 before that screen appears. Unless we can get you in verbose mode, its kinda impossible to tell what your system is hanging on. Are you not able to get into the Darwin Boot Loader at all?

When you hit F8 (before the Grey screen), it should switch to text mode and say something like "Welcome to darwin". There should be a command prompt.

it hangs at:

Waiting for remote debugger connection

kdp_poll: no debugger device

and above that it says:

kernel version:

darwin kernel version 8.3.1: wed nov 2 21:12:54 pst 2005; root:xnu-792.7.56.obj~6/release_1386

ethernet mac dress: 00:00:00:00:00:00

ip adress: 0.0.0.0

and....

i'm using

an .iso

which is 4.3 gigs

and i'm on an inspiron 1150

and i believe this is the money line you need:

panic(cpu 0 caller 0x00398EEFF): Unable to find driver for this platform: "ACPI".

Kernel traps tend to be memory problems (too little), CPU problems (SSE3 emulator wasn't installed or you lack even SSE2 functionality), or the most likely, a bad burn.

The JaS 4.2b patcher has a MD5 checksum program included and the listings of the MD5 checksums of the 10.4.3 install disc all along the way through all 4 phases of conversion.

If these don't match, don't expect it to do anything good.

That SAM Multimedia error is a dead giveaway. You're trying to install from a coaster. Toss it and burn another one - and check the MD5 after burning. So many of these problems are caused by bad burns, and OSX is incredibly picky about the DVD media and the drive.
