can i install tiger on this laptop? i check the wiki, but i couldnt find it, so, im asking here.

if i can, please tell me which verison i should install...

im looking at 10.8 jas...but im not sure..im still downloading it..

  • 60GB 4200RPM HDD
  • Dual Layer DVD RW drive

ok so i read one of your posts on the dv 6000/9000 forum and since you have an AMD CPU iATKOS DVD won't work for you. I think its only for Intel Core 2 CPUs. Then again you might have the AMD version which i don't know if its complete yet.

 

My guess is that you have the Intel one.

 

Anyway, i have a dv9000t (Intel) but i'll try and help you out here.

 

You should try the Leo4Allv2 UNIVERSAL AMD/INTEL [sSE2/SSE3]. You can get from the usual places.

 

Try that and if you don't know the download locations, PM me.

 

Oh and you also have the possibility of your Broadcom wireless working which is super. I have the intel 3945... which there is no driver for at the moment.
