timesquared
Hi, Here is my hard drive setup: 1) SATA 500GB - Two partitions (one of which contained Windows XP) 2) SATA 400GB 3) IDE 150GB I installed OS X on my 150GB hard drive, and had some issues booting. So I tried to fix the MBR on that particular hard drive using the fdisk method. Unfortunately, I chose the wrong rdiskXsY. I thought my 150GB hard drive was 2s1, but that was my 500GB hard drive. Now I cannot boot Windows XP, and my hard drive is listed as "unallocated" or "unpartitioned space. When I try to boot my XP hard drive I get an hfs+ partition error. Does anyone know how I can recover my 500 GB hard drive partitions? Thanks. I remember back in the 10.4.8 days I lost my Win XP Partition -- with music, photos, etc. Partition Magic was able to reconstruct my partition table, and ultimately I did not lose data. Been alot more careful to backup since then. By definition, Hackintosh is Beta (or alpha) software on our equipment. Good luck! macmedude
I believe you can repair your master boot record with your windows install disk. The tools you need should be on there. I don't remember the exact procedure, but it involves going to the command line and using the fixmbr command. If you google "fix or repair master boot record" you should be able to find the procedure. Sorry I couldn't be more specific. Good Luck.
