DJ McG Posted March 14, 2008 Share Posted March 14, 2008 Ok, installation loads all of the files correctly, but never gets to the Installer. The white text scrolls then this shows up ERROR: FireWire unable to determine security-mode; defaulting to full-secure. ATA Disk: Checksum cookie not valid Still waiting for root device EDIT: This time when I did it the ATA Disk: Checksum cooie not valid didn't show up The Still waiting for root device keeps adding another line with that until I turn it off. The problem may be that I was following a guide before that told me to change the active partition, so I did. But then when I put the disk in it just rebooted and hasn't worked yet. Thar was with iATKOS v1.0i. So I think I have to change the active partition maybe, I don't know. My computer hasn't worked since. When I boot normally it just flashes the _ underscore. And macdotnub osx86 v1-r5 10.4.10.
