squeekymouse89
Hi, Im not exatly new to playing round with osx86 infact i got this exact build of OSX86 to work perfetly on a random old Fujitsu Siemens Scaleo P pc. Anyways, Ive been trying for the past few days to install it on an Acer Aspire 3050 that i have been given with the following specs Amd Semphron 3500 1.8ghz (SSE2 & SSE3) 2048mb Ram 40Gb IDE hard disk Synaptics touchpad (works i osx out the box) Xpress 1100 (200m) chipset and graphics and AC97 Audio (I beleive) So here is the problem If i install osx86 with any additional drivers it crashes at boot up with the grey apple logo and the loading bar (in -v it looks like it should be where the gui is lunched) I can run osx smoothly with just essentials and the amd jas patch installed but i get very limited hardware support. The question i ask is does anyone know which package is causing the computer to crash on bootup because then i will install everything except this package. My suspicions at the moment is that its either the laptop power management or the additional graphics drivers. Any help greatly appreciated otherwise ill just end up reinstalling over and over again trying to narrow the problem down to just one package. Thanks Squeeky Link to comment https://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/93335-crash-at-bootup-mac-os-x-1048-jas-amd-intel-sse2-sse3-with-ppf1-ppf2/ Share on other sites
Slinger2g
It's the graphics driver's. DO NOT use the one's on the install dvd. ~Sling Link to comment https://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/93335-crash-at-bootup-mac-os-x-1048-jas-amd-intel-sse2-sse3-with-ppf1-ppf2/#findComment-666253 Share on other sites
nathancuyler
Hey, I have the same PC as you. And I have tried a few different OSx86 .iso's. I was wondering what options you used when you customized the install with Jas 10.4.8? Thanks if you can help. Nathan.
