MesaRectifier Posted March 13, 2008 Share Posted March 13, 2008 Hi, My 10.4.6 install on my WD 200gb drive failed after I updated in a way that I (apparently) shouldn't. So, I've reinstalled to a different drive (Maxtor 250gb), however I can't get the Darwin Bootloader to work on this new installation. The Bootloader on the old install (200gb drive) still works, so I can boot to the other drive using the "rd=disk1s1" switch at the Bootloader prompt. HOWEVER Obviously this isn't ideal, so I was wondering one of two things: Either somebody could please explain to me why my Darwin Bootloader isn't loading from the new install and how to get it working OR Which files it's safe to delete and still maintain a functional bootloader from the old (broken) install.
