Leopard OSX 10.5.x on a Sony Vaio

Hello. I tried installing the iATKOS_v1 image and everything the was going fine until the Apple boot loader should have appeared. Instead of the red apple appearing there were red vertical lines, and few black ones. Is this an issue with a video driver or something I can correct or another guide that would work?
