kzez1986
I've got some problems with new installed 10.4.4. 1. I can't install anythign - then I try to install some package (for example XCode Tools), I see: there were errors. Try again later. The packages install from 10.4.3 with no problem, so I would like to install it from 10.4.4 too. 2. I can't mount dmg files. I only see an error Device not configured. 3. I've got strange booting procedure. When I executed sudo bless... and rebooted after install, I saw only black screen. However, when I start my computer from the first partition on my hard drive (with 10.4.3) - without sudo bless ..., press F8 and choose partition with 10.4.4, it runs great. Thank you in advance for your help. Link to comment https://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/9295-some-problems-with-1044/ Share on other sites

Let me guess, you also cannot mount dmgs and empty the trash? errandwolfe posted a fix on that: You have to go back in 10.4.3 and repair the permissions of your 10.4.4. harddisk from there. After that, you have to repair permissions in 10.4.4. also.
