TaylorG
Okay well, I felt this was the right place to ask this. I am running a Dell Dimension 3000, and I am trying to install Leopard 10.5.1 onto an external hard drive. I am using the iATKOS 1.0ir2 install DVD. It installs fine, I added some extra drivers for my ethernet (PRO/100 VE), and that was all. I partitioned my external hard drive according the the USB installation at the OSx86 wiki. (Atleast 8gb, or so, of the Mac (Journaled) called it MAC, and the rest DOCUMENTS, in MS-DOS format.) It installs fine, but when I try to boot it just stays on the boot screen prior to the Windows logo, (the little blinking underscore, _ ), I can't seem to get it to boot at all. Got any solutions? Here is a detailed description of my computer. (I used AIDA32.) OS: MS Windows XP Pro SP2 CPU: Intel Celeron 4E, 2400 MHz (4.5 x 533) (Supports SSE 1-3) Mobo Chipset: Intel Springdale-G i865G(V) Memory: 1277 MB (DDR SDRAM) BIOS Type: Phoenix Video Adapter: Intel 82865G Graphics Controller & NVIDIA GeForce FX 5500 Audio Adapter: Intel 82801EB ICH5 Disk Drive (I'm installing to): WDC WD12 USB Device (120 GB) Network Adapter: PRO/100 VE Hopefully you can diagnose my problem. -TaylorG
BiGGi3 Sm4lls
You sure your pc can boot from USB?
TaylorG
You sure your pc can boot from USB? Positive, it has the option in my BIOS setup. Under boot sequence it says something along the lines of "DVD-Rom Drive" then "C: Master Drive" then "USB Device". So I switched it to go DVD, USB, C:. -TaylorG
