Need some urgent help

Thanks to Kalyway's Leo .... I have leopard on my Dell Inspiron E1505

 

Now I have 2 problems

 

1) There is no ethernet icon on the taskbar ..... my ethernet works out of the box, but I am sure that there should be an icon up top.

 

2) My sound doesnt work at all .... when I check my dell configuration page, I get this as my audio info

SIGMATEL STAC 92XX C-Major HD Audio

 

Now, when I first booted into Leopard, I can select and edit audio, but no sound came out. Now I installed AppleHDAPatcher and used the Sigmatel9200.txt. This is my log when I ran the patcher

Now, the sound still doesnt work, but I cant edit the sound in System Preferences. Also when I checked system profiler, it says "No audio built in"
