I'm trying to install it on my sisters' old 2200 however iAtkos gets to the apple screen and the DVD drive makes some clicking sound and sits there forever, and with Kalyway I get to the "Kernel Version:" text is the last line, and .... then it stops everything.

Using Kalyway 10.5.2 also.

Yeah, mine hangs there too, I just wish I knew what I was doing wrong.

Okay so I came to the conclusion that it could possibly be the DVD drive, so I took the DVD drive out of my e1705 and put it in the 2200, and now it gets to the "Darwin Kernel" and then it hangs and the DVD drive spins for about a minute then.. stops.

i've tried starting it with -s, -v, and even -x... nothing so far.

I tried iAtkos and it got me the furthest, it got to the blue screen before the installation page.. and it hangs there.

This is annoying, I was hoping on installing Leopard on the 2200 as easily as I did on my old harddrive for my e1705.

Okay I finally got it working, it is installing now using iAtkos, I did the F8 boot and i typed in "-s -v" and... it's installing hurray!

So is iAtkos a different version of the software? Also, is it using the 2200 drive?

Also, where do I find that version, or what is it called so i can find it on my own

iAtkos is just a different DVD img you can find, Kalyway is the other.

So I installed it and all, get apple grey screen and and it reboots so.

Now for some reason i can't get iAtkos DVD to boot up again it sticks at the blue screen again.

Once I get back to the DVD boot I'm going to have to try different drivers.. until them I have OSX fully installed but completely inoperable on the 2200

Please let me know what you find that works when you do.

okay quick update, i installed gparted on a cheap USB flash drive i just got (it's only 90mb), anyways i destroyed (formated) the hard drive and booted up iatkos again (and it's working HURRAY!) in the same -s -v mode, anyways i'm going to mess around with kernels until I get working now that I know how to do this.

I was trying all sorts of things but apparently the previous "successful" installation screwed something up and the DVD wouldn't boot so yea, I'm going to keep messing with different stuff selected.

This 2200 is also the Pentium M

I'll keep you informed to see what works right Allcoast, and hopefully some other 2200 users out there! (I got this for free from my sister so .. i want leopard on it lol i don't want to have to keep switching hard drives in my e1705 which boots leopard with my other hard drive easily)

it's the latest iAtkos DVD that you can get. (iAtkos 4i is the version i'm using)

I'm having to use gParted which is a format tool because the installation keeps messing with the hard drive, once i figure out what thinks i have to check in the leopard installation I will tell you and you hopefully won't have to use gparted, it's just a good format tool a friend of mine had to use, and i remembered it so i'm using it by booting off a USB flash drive.

this is obnoxious, so far no success with iAtkos, and Kalyway doesn't even want to start with the 2200, I keep getting the Darwin Kernel hang.

Tried iAtkos with non EFI MBR and no success also this is starting to {censored} me off.

I have a Gateway M-6750 PC Notebook. I am totally new to the world of MAC but I want to use it to do some recording for my band. I have XP Pro and installed Acronis Disk Director and OS Selector to dual boot XP Pro with MAC OS X Leopard ie. leo4all v.3 . The installation went through and I rebooted to a screen with a keyboard that tells me to please connect a keyboard to continue. Now I honestly don't know if I used the correct options like type of kernel, patches, etc. If anyone can tell me what I did wrong I would really appreciate it. I have the GM965 Intel Chipset, Intel Core 2 Duo @1.66Ghz, 3GB RAM.

I thought you actually had it working. Last night, I tried iatkos and all it would do is go to the blue screen and everything would stop.

Each time I try iAtkos I HAVE to reformat using gparted, otherwise it won't work.

Kalyway I'm still getting the Darwin Kernel panic so so far I haven't gotten anywhere. And I don't think that iAtkos supports SSE2 like Kalyway can, but I've tried everything around to get iAtkos to work and so far still no success, I want to know what keeps causing this kernel panic, I've disabled NIC and all of the internal networking etc and still nothing is working it's annoying the {censored} out of me.
