SimonTuffGuy
Hey everyone... I installed iATKOS 1.0i R2 on my laptop over the weekend... It took a few attempts to get it functional, but as of last night, I was able to dual boot and login several times, even after reboots, shut downs, etc. The internal wireless network card doesn't work. It's the Intel 3945ABG that hasn't been able to get functional drivers for yet... So my second solution would've been to try using a USB network card that was listed as working. So I went out and bought one, came home and attempted and when I put the card into one of the USB ports, it did nothing. Tried the other 3 with the same results. Thinking that maybe it was just the card itself, I tried my USB flash drive and again, got nothing. So I've come to the conclusion that I need to get something that works too. In searching Google, I found another dv8000t user who posted on his Wordpress blog that he also had problems getting his internal USB ports to work. The system specs say: 4 x Hi-Speed USB, 1 Firewire and then headphones, mic, network, modem, etc. The documentation that came with the laptop says they're standard USB ports that support USB 2.0 and 1.1. Anyone have a suggestion to get these working? I've read that some people say theirs works when they boot their PC with the drives already in the USB port... I tried that, but didn't seem to get anywhere. Thanks for the help. Link to comment https://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/92822-usb-ports-not-working/ Share on other sites
