Hi

New member here and a satisfied user of a 99% working installation of Kalyway 10.5.1 updated to 10.5.2 with all the currently released servicereleases and updates for it. I installed it on my rig which is a E6600 2,4ghz dualcore with 2gb ram (hardware list below). Everything runs smooth and fast, no real issues at all with anything except for sound which i cannot seem to get working. I tried alot of soluition i found on this forum but still i'm lost in the mist on how i'm supposed to get it working. Which is why i'm asking you guys and girls here if you have a clue or some clever suggestions that helps me get sound outta OSX.

Components:

CPU Type: DualCore Intel Core 2 Duo E6600, 2400 MHz (9 x 267)

Motherboard Name: Asus P5WDG2 WS Pro (2 PCI, 2 PCI-E x16, 2 PCI-X, 4 DDR2 DIMM, Audio, Dual Gigabit LAN, IEEE-1394)

Motherboard Chipset: Intel Glenwood-DG i975X

System Memory: 2048 MB (DDR2-800 DDR2 SDRAM)

DIMM1: OCZ XTC Platinum Rev.2 OCZ2P800R21G 1 GB DDR2-800 DDR2 SDRAM

DIMM3: OCZ XTC Platinum Rev.2 OCZ2P800R21G 1 GB DDR2-800 DDR2 SDRAM

Video Adapter : NVIDIA GeForce 8800 GTS (640 MB)

Audio Adapter : Creative SB X-Fi Xtreme Audio Sound Card

Any help that solves the problem is greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance! :)

To bad no one replied to my question here, then i'll do it myself if it may be of help to others.. because today when i were fiddling around with OSX trying to find a way to get sound working on it i managed to fix it, yay! but then i broke the Nvidia driver somehow when i tried to update that so now i have to reinstall my entire OSX system again, i tried alot of things but nothing seems to be able to restore it back to it's original working state.

Anyhow, how i resolved the audio problem was to pop in the Kalyway 10.5.1 disc again in my drive, reboot the machine and select all of those audiodrivers you can select and then install them that way. Atleast one of them got it working, not sure which one but doesn't matter.. as long as it works i'm happy. :D

Hi Max,

Can you tell me what driver you used for the Ethernet?
