jskidmore
I've downloaded and burned the iAtkos v1.0i DVD, and attempted to boot it up. I keep getting stuck on the following message: localhost kextd[47]: can't add repository (not a directory). Resetting IOCatalogue. localhost kextd[47]: root filesystem is read-only; skipping kernal link data generation localhost DirectoryService[51]: Launched version (v514) I'm on a new Dell XPS 420, which has Intel quad-core. I've seen this question asked in a few places but it hasn't been answered. I've also tried booting with platform=x86PC, cpus=1, and -f. Thank you so much! jskidmore
Thanks for the tip, I appreciate it, but that wasn't really my problem. I did figure it out... so far... I simply booted with the -legacy mode enabled. Right now it's installing Leopard from the DVD, so we'll see how that goes and I'll post an update. But for all of those that have suffered this same problem, the solution as I can see so far is to type this instead of -v: -v -legacy
