daz_far
okay, I've spent hours searching. I've spent hours at night trying new things. Now i want an answer: Will any edition of OSx86 work on the Compaq Presario 2500 series notebook? I have the Marklar-Tiger.iso 10.4.1 image that has been patched with Marklar-Tiger-patch-release1.ppf, i can use VMware to install it natively, but it refuses to boot. Even with that "platform=X86PC" tag. So i tried the JaS 10.4.8 Intel+AMD SSe2+SSe3 DVD (Mac OS X 10.4.8 [JaS AMD-Intel-SSE2-SSE3 with PPF1 & PPF2].iso), and this was even worse. Not only did it refuse to boot on my actual laptop, but i can't install it with VMware since it refuses to cooperate. I need/want an answer. If anyone has a Compaq Presario 2500 series with mac working, please post here the name of your image/dvd, the version number and the method of install.
