adderz
Alright here it goes, im new to the osx86 scene and want to trial Leopard on my PC. There seem to be many ways to do this but im unsure what would be the best for me. I have a brand new C2D imac External USB 80gb HD Bought retail leopard install dvd HP PC Here are the specs of the HP pc i would like to run it on. Prescott P4 at 3.0ghz SSE3 capable 768mb ram ASUStek motherboard, i915p/i915G Revison B1 910GL graphics I would like to install OSX on the external HD, and run it through usb 2.0....would this be fast enough? Ive read up on Kalaway and iatkos, but these include modified dvd's, how can i use MY Leopard dvd? Ideally id love to just install it from my mac onto the external HD and simply plug it in, but i know thats not going to happen. So what would be the best way for me to do it? thanks

adderz
thanks, i did read through that, seems ill have a lot of research to do comparing the different installs, and how i can apply them to me. plus that "step by step" guide for the retail disc.... EDIT: Im just worried how the install is going to affect my xp install on the internal HD, with bios mods and other changes im afraid its going to destroy my xp install...or make it more difficult to boot into it nativly, with OSX only booting when i have the USB drive plugged in.
