So, I'm running Zephyroth's AMD 10.5.2 release and everything works great except the mouseFrom time to time without warning, often after I haven't used the machine for a few hours, I go to use the mouse and it sporadically jumps to the opposite side of the screen or the opposite corner (A big pain in the ass because I have active corners)I'm using a Microsoft Wireless Mouse 2.0, a standard RF wireless mouse that has a reciever that connects via USB. Any reccomendations?and It's mysteriously gone away again... It only seems to happen for the first 30 minutes to an hour after I wake the machine up from sleep.. The machine is set to never sleep so the only things turning off are the hard disks and the display.very odd...

I have the same problem, too. The first few minutes after booting are fine, but then the cursor jumps around nearly every time I move the mouse.

When I move the cursor with a constant speed across the screen it "jumps" forward for about 50-100px unexpectedly. Or when "drawing" little circles on the screen the cursor jumps to a random direction every few circles.

Only rebooting helps - this is really a show-stopper.

I have this issue only on my Desktop-PC (AMD X2,LawlessPPC), an USB mouse on my laptop (Acer 4315, iAtkos 5) works fine.

Any suggestions?

i having the problem too. But only if i enabled QE/CI. so the problem is graphic card related.

without QE (using nvinject) mouse is okay. with chameleon Bootloader and GraphicsEnabler=y my mouse is accelerate and X and Y are inverted a second after systemboot.

so i cant't use QE/CI on my 8400GS

Great samhl, that's very interesting so I'm very newbie, do I only have to specify GraphicsEnabler=n somewhere at boot?

Thanks.

Mouse: Microsoft Wireless Optical Mouse 2000 (Keyboard wireless with same USB Receiver)

iDeneb 1.6 10.5.8

Kernel 9.8 Qoopz

PS/2 Drivers

Chipset AppleNForceATA

MotherBoard: Asus M2NPV-MX

Chipset: nForce 430

CPU: AMD Athlon 64 3000+

Graphics: nVidia GeForce 9600GT (512Mb)

IIRC It was some kind of DRM thing in the nvidia drivers that caused the mouse to jump. If your mouse jumping gets worse when running Quicktime or iTunes then that's definitely the issue you're having.

There's a Disabler.kext available that disables the kext that causes it, unfortunately I can't remember the name of the .kext in question. "upstreamclient" something..?

EDIT
