nyukeit
After messing around on my laptop, which got screwed 2 times already, I have finally managed to run both Windows XP SP2 and Mac OS X 10.5.1 Kalyway peacefully. THE INSTALLATION: Since I had booting issues with the earlier DVD (ToH RC2), this time I had presintalled Acronis OS Selector in Windows XP SP2, along with its Bootable Disk. But I just feel you won't need it. This DVD is just perfect. Partitions: C - Windows XP SP2 - FAT32 D - Blank - NTFS E - Blank - FAT32 F - Blank - NTFS Mac OS X 10.5.1 installed on Partition E using Kalyways DVD Format to Mac OS Extended Journaled using Disk Utiltiy in DVD. Partition Map Type: MBR (Imp! If you already have XP SP2 installed on one of the partition!) DURING INSTALLATION: Select Customize... Selections made: 1. Vanilla Kernel 2. Display Patch 3. Audio Patch 4. EFI_MBR NOTE: I had Acronis OS Selector installed on Windows before installing Mac. After completing install and rebooting, the Darwin Bootloader presented with options for booting into either OS! Hence, I decided to uninstall Acronis OS Selector. After uninstalling, the Darwin Bootloader disappeared and I could only boot into Windows XP (So the XP Bootloader was working fine!) I used the chain0 method, explained HERE This added Mac OS option to the XP Bootloader. Once you chose Mac OS, you are presented with the Darwin Bootloader, where again you get OS choices. If u choose Leopard, the OS Starts, if you chose XP, it takes you back to the XP Bootloader where you can chose to boot into XP.
