offall
I have happyly installed the latest speedstep kernel and AppleSMBios.kext However, I really hope if someone can clarify for me how this speedstep function is working. I know the netkas kernel has name of speedstep ,but with old 10.4 or even 10.5.2 uphuck, you need a ACPIthrottle in your startup items and a speedstep application to monitor your actual frequency however, with the TOH kernel, I can't get either ACPIthrottle or speedstep to work then , is there a way to make sure the speedstep function is actually working? how can I monitor the actual cpu frequency? I have search everywhere for the answer but can't find it , hope someone can point me a direction Thanks a lot Link to comment https://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/91799-how-do-you-know-your-speedstep-is-working/ Share on other sites

Beerkex'd
I'm wondering the same thing. Already asked in netkas' forum but didn't get an answer yet. With the sleep kernel it's a no-brainer though..
