Hi everybody...

i've a problem booting leopard with Linux OpenSUSE 10.3 GRub. Infact, if I add this:

title MacOS X

root (hd0,1)

makeactive

chainloader +1

to my menu.lst grub file, i receive this error when booting:

Error 12: Invalid device requested

Instead, if I add only this:

title MacOS X

root (hd0,1)

chainloader +1

(without the makeactive command)

to my menu.lst file i receive this error:

HFS+ Partition Error

I've tried to fix it with this guide i've found in this forum:

f u have linux installed or u r using GRUB bootloader

just press c to bingup the grub console

type : geometry (hd0)

this give u the filesystems of all partitions

from that find OS X partition (id :AF)

type:

unhide (hd0,2)

makeactive (hd0,2)

to boot OS X from GRUB

type:

root (hd0,2)

makeactive

chainloader +1

But, as i sayd at the begin, when i type makeactive (hd0,1) in my grub console i get this error:

Error 12: Invalid device requested

... Please help me...

This is my computer configuration:

Acer Aspire 5920g (windows vista + Macos x leopard kalyway + opensuse 10.3)

partition 1 ntfs primary win vista

pqrtition 2 macos journaled primary macos leopard

partition 3 unformatted (i'll use it for data)

partition 4 extended

l

--> partition 5 logical linux swap

l

--> partition 6 logical ext3 linux root

l

--> partition 7 logical ext 3 linux home (data)

I use mbr system and grub is installed in mbr, opensuse and vista work and i can boot them from grub without errors. I hope you will help me because i really need help. Thank you very much in advice.
