macman433
Hi everyone, Great forum here...been reading it for weeks. I am currently trying to install OS 10.5.1 (Kalyway) on the following system NForce 680i (XFX) Q6600 processor overclock to 3.2Ghz SATA/IDE Hard Disk Drive Nvidia 8800GTS Video Card I tried several different variations of osx86 (toh is currently downloading) and I have not had any luck installing it. When trying to install directly onto my machine with the 680i board the install always fails with 10 minutes remaining and leaves me with a b0 error. I have OSX86 running on a Dell XPS 400. My plan of action was to install Kalyway to my spare IDE drive with the appropriate settings for my 680i and transfer the HD back to the main machine. The install went perfectly, but I can't boot into the system. I am getting the following error: Debugger called panic Backtrace, Format-Frame: Return Address (4 potential args on stach) Variations of 0x35e6aec8 repeat for about 10 lines Error ends with Backtrace continues... Any ideas on how I can fix this? Thanks for a great resource, -C Link to comment https://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/91619-kalyway-680i-backtrace-panic/ Share on other sites
Kilopopo
I would try to download kalyway again and see if it is a dvd problem. I tried your method. I installed leopard from my laptop to my spare harddrive and boot it to my specs below. I get a kernel panic but I don't know what the details are. You may wanna try booting your installed leopard the spare hard drive with bootflag -v -f -x cpus=1. The problem might be that the kernel does not support the 4 cores you have.
