SilverTab
I have a fully working tiger installation right now (Kalyway 10.4.10). Sound, internet, videocard, etc... it's all working to notch... now my question is, if I want to update to Leopard (using Kalyway's 10.5.1 dvd) is there any options to do it without losing all my data or should I just wipe my working tiger installation completely, backup my stuff and start from scratch with the new 10.5.1 dvd? Any help/pointers would be appreciated! Link to comment https://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/91536-tiger-to-leopard/ Share on other sites
craigusoz
Why not just install Leo on a second partition - then you can get it working before you migrate. Link to comment https://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/91536-tiger-to-leopard/#findComment-652979 Share on other sites
SilverTab
It was something that I considered actually, but the HD space is a bit tight at the moment so I was wondering if there was another option available... if not I guess I'll have to try and clear some space... (I already have 2 linux distros, vista an os X...so it's definitely geting crowded in here...!) SilverTab
Basically I will backup my important stuff anyway, so if anything goes wrong with Leopard, I can always re-install tiger... I was just wondering if there is a way to install leopart "on top" of tigers.. (kinda like an upgrade) and try to keep all my stuff...if it fails, no biggie...
