naddy69
Since OS X is on a separate drive, the easiest way is to forget all the bootloaders you are trying to use. Use your BIOS to change the boot drive. Link to comment https://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/91369-vista-64-bit-osx-booting-pics/#findComment-651982 Share on other sites
inedible
in the bios if it only lists one drive, there should be another option called something like "Hard drive boot priority" or something similar... otherwise some bioses will let you press a certain button during startup to bring up a boot selector... on toshiba laptops it's F12, on hp laptops it's esc, on dells I think it's F8... look for some words that flash across the screen really quick when you first turn the computer on.. it should say "Press F12 for Multi-Boot Selection Menu" or "Press ESC to change boot order" etc. if you want a simple, short-term solution, you can just boot from the leopard dvd and let it time out.. it should boot off your hard drive. marliwahoo
You really don't need grub with vista x64 and leopard. They are both efi. For dual boot here is what I did. It may be the worst written dual boot guide ever - but it really works. http://forum.insanelymac.com/index.php?sho...c=84917&hl= There has to be a way to change boot drive. mike73059
@ Naddy The BIOS wont let me directly change the drive. Ill check what you were talking about inedible. and get back to you. Ok, so i did some more searching what you were talking about and this is my result of my BIOS. I CANNOT find anywhere that i can choose which hard drive to boot. In addition to that this is the ESC Menu. So is there anything that i can do about this? a program or efi configuration that can allow me to select drives? marliwahoo
I don't see the drive you want to boot in the bios ...... is it there ? Is it the USB hd ? If it is the USB hd don't you just select it and press + / - to move drives up and down in the boot order ??
