I have an HP Pavilion DV2315us laptop. I am currently dual-booting Windows Vista Premium SP 1 Beta, and iATKOS_v1.0i version of Leopard 10.5.1 (On the same drive). During boot (9 out of ten times) I get an error where the screen turns dark and an error in 4 languages comes up saying, You need to restart your computer.......... Or my laptop just hangs and doesn't boot. When it does boot half the time the Ethernet doesn't work. On the rare occasion that it does boot and everything works properly it will last for around 15-30 minutes. Then the restart your computer error shows up again. Can someone please help me. I'm pretty much a complete noob at this side of a computer. My complete specs are:

Comp: HP Pavilion DV2315us

OS: Windows Vista Premium SP 1 Beta (One partition) + iATKOS_v1.0i Leopard 10.5.1

Processor: Intel Core 2 Duo T5300 @1.73Ghz

RAM: 1.50GBs DDR2 SDRAM

Networking: Intel PRO/100 VE Ethernet (Works half the time) + Intel PRO/Wireless3945 ABG Wifi (Not Working)

Firewire 800, Webcam, DVD Burner, Trackpad, Audio out through speakers, remote, VGA Out are all working

5-1 Card Reader, Wifi, Ethernet (Sometimes), Headphones, Mic IN, And stereo mics not working

If I forgot anything please tell me. If anyone knows how to fix my boot problem (Or anything else not working) please help me.

Unfortunately it could be caused by anything...

A simple thing you could try (if you havent already) is use Kalyway 10.5.1 insted of iATKOS to see if that works better with your system

Also anytime you are getting a kernel panic (this is the "You need to shut down your computer" error) be sure to stop the timer by pressing the down arrow when booting up and type -v on the boot line and take a picture of where it hangs up.

Goodluck
