thebeaf
Okay, here's the deal I have a Dell Dimension 3000 lying around that I wanted to tool around with. I installed Leo 10.5.1 on it and so far it makes a fine little web browser machine, and nothing else. I have made my way thorugh these forums time after time and have found useful information, but not the files to put the information to practical use. I have the Dell running OS X on a widescreen monitor and would like to boost screen resolution to a widescreen format (1680 x 1050 prefereably) It has the 865G chipset with integrated Intel Extreme Graphics 2 integrated video. It also has the integrated AC97 audio. I can't get either to work and would like to make this machine a tad more useful, but need the correct peripheral drivers in order to accomplish this (i believe) Any help is greatly appreciated. With many thanks in advance, -The Beaf PS: Fear not, i'm not just some hack. (As a matter of fact, I'm composing this message on my Macbook) I just dread adding another Microsloth machine to my arsenal. marliwahoo
Welcome to the board ! Start here: http://forum.insanelymac.com/index.php?showtopic=89659 Only gma950 and x3100 are supported in leopard. I believe 865 is supported in tiger. You could try a cheap video card.
