ciphon
I think my problem is easy to solve (actually I hope)... I was playing around with resolutions after my fresh Mac OS X install - which works great on a Dell Precision M4300!! Only problem I had was with sound... but I digress. I got up to 1920x1200 everything is cool. I click on 1600x1200 and I get a black screen.... Is there anyway to fix this problem? Many thanks in advance! P.S. - I tried searching for this but did not find any solutions... Lytener
Yeah I screwed myself over at one point too but for a different reason. This might help guide you in the right direction. Try booting into safemode -x and then try to locate Display Preference file and delete it from your home dir. http://nvinject.free.fr/forums/viewtopic.php?t=294 Good luck! ciphon
I'm very new to the MAC OS X -- where would I find this file? I'll give it a whirl and see if I can wing it. puckslinger
you get a blank screen because your monitor doesnt support 16x12 so it cant display anything. no clue where the Display Prefs file is , he said in the home dir not sure what its called.
