SuperDuper Leopard Install Clone

Ok, I've got Leopard running good now for about a week. I've got all my apps installed and even bitorrent clients are playing nice now. I think this was simply a stability issue. I updated the bios on my Gigabyte motherboard and everything seems to be working great now. I have SuperDuper installed and want to make a bootable clone of my nice leopard install in case it breaks again after 10.5.2 update. I will attempting to update again via the Netkas method. Last time I updated, I had problems with "Waiting for root device message", however, I have since updated my bios and adjusted the boot priority of my hard disks. When I choose the backup all options in SuperDuper and backup to a USB drive it says that it is making the drive bootable at the end of the process. However, I cannot boot from the drive. This maybe a bios problem, but it makes me wonder since SuperDuper says that it is not backing up temp files and system files that Apple recommends not backing up. I guess my question is this:

 

Is this mode in SuperDuper going to give me an exact bootable disk clone like Ghost would for a Windows partition? Or am I going to have to do something else to make it bootable? Basically, I need to be able to restore back immediately if my install breaks after the update. That's why I need to make sure I have a good bootable clone. Any help is extremely appreciated. So far I love SuperDuper though. Great piece of software.
