badboyz Posted February 29, 2008 Share Posted February 29, 2008 ok guys am in serious need of assistance. here is a video of what is happen AFTER I INSTALL 10.5.2 update *kalway hack* my system specs: Intel Quad Core @ 2.4Ghz Q6600 3Gb of Ram (all dual channel) Nvidia 8800GTX w/768MB of Vram Intel 975x MotherBoard with Viiv Technology Mac is installed on a My Book External HDD that has 500GB and is connected via USB 2.0 Vista is my main bootloader as you can tell Vanilla is not installed but EFI is enable, if i install vanilla my system reboot like you see in the video Right now am running 10.5.1 and my system runs perfect, only simple other problems like audio not working and stuff but i just wanna be able to boot my system without cpus=1 command. no other command works but cpus=1 *PLEASE HELP A FIRST TIME MAC USER* Link to comment https://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/90934-major-problem/ Share on other sites More sharing options...

Peppie Posted March 2, 2008 Share Posted March 2, 2008 Well, if you dont want to have to type "cpus=1" everytime you want to boot, just edit your boot.plist to include it. I hope that settles that question. Getting both cores to work is tricky. Search around in the forums to see if anyone has a hack or driver for it.
