carlos228
Hello, my Gigabyte P35-DS4 / Kalyway 10.5.2 + all updates crashes with > 3 GByte RAM. With only 3 Gigs it works perfect. I aleady installed the IOATAFamily.kext from this thread: http://forum.insanelymac.com/index.php?sho...=88335&st=0 but it doesn´t make any difference, nor in ACHI or IDE mode. I have CD-ROM & 160 GByte system disc on IDE, some other HDs on S-ATA. Crash (black screen of death) appears e.g. when rendering a motion project to Ram (crtl-R) Has anybody an Idea how to fix this ? carlos228
Problem found. Currently the only way to fix is to remove jmicronata.kext, deactivate the controller in BIOS and only use S-ATA Devices. The kext can't handle 64bit numbers.
