Hey guys, I posted in Equates patch thread but thought I'd do this as well.

Basically I installed using iatkos 1.0i r2 which installed successfully, but even after the aprtition was flaggged to boot in gparted, it still wouldn't boot (blinking cursor bug).

So I stumbled upon equates patch that apparently fixed these issues, patched and reburned the dvd (all md5's checked out), but now when I go to install the installer boots, however it doesn't see my drive.

I'm dedicating my entire drive to the install (running off a liveCD right now), and I've tried it formatted as ext3 (which previously worked), unallocated, fat32 and nfts to no avail.

Upon booting with -v I get a couple weird things along the lines of

jettisoning kernel linker

-- another error in here I can't recall, unable to link something or other maybe? --

kextd[47] root file system is read only

Here are some stats

Dell Inspiron 1420 notebook

Nvidia 8400m

2gigs ram

150g WD hard drive

any help would be appreciated.
