Hello

I'm new to posting here, but have been reading and searching around for info on OS x86 install help

I have a:

HP dv6105us

Vista Ultimate (2008-02 install)

60GB HDD SATA 3.0 8MB 5400RPM

Partitioned 30 Gig for the Vista and the remaining is unallocated

AMD Turion 64 ML-36 2GHz socket S1 (638)

1Gig DDR2 667 (512MB x 2) PC2-5300

NVidia GeForce Go 6150 256MB

LG GSA-T20N WP03 speedpatched DVD-RAM

USB 2.0

keep in mind I am willing to totally wipe out the HDD for this (i really want to try mac beore I buy)

Now i understand this is the Leopard forum/ but since I seem to be having the same problems with both my leopard tiger attempts i will combine

I have tried all of the following installs (4 different)

1.

OS 10.4.10 AMD SSE3 Tubgirl

It goes like 3 command lines and keeps restarting on

Loading HFS + file:[mach_kernel] from 4230450

no matter what

then if i leave it alone it flickers the following message

Loading HFS file: ['/library/preferences/systemconfiguration/com.apple.ire.boot.plist] from 4339ba0

HFS signature was not present

Loading HFS file: ['/library/preferences/systemconfiguration/com.apple.Boot.plist] from 4339ba0

\HFS signature was not present

System config file '/library/preferences/systemconfiguration/com.apple.Boot.plist' not found

2.

OS 10.5.1 Zephyroth AMD

It goes like 3 command lines and keeps restarting on

Loading HFS + file:[mach_kernel] from 4230450

no matter what

then if i leave it alone it flickers the following message

Loading HFS file: ['/library/preferences/systemconfiguration/com.apple.ire.boot.plist] from 4339ba0

HFS signature was not present

Loading HFS file: ['/library/preferences/systemconfiguration/com.apple.Boot.plist] from 4339ba0

\HFS signature was not present

System config file '/library/preferences/systemconfiguration/com.apple.Boot.plist' not found

3.

ToHLeo Hotfix

not sure of specifics followed this install

it begins to install runs for a bit then stops at

unknown SIGSEGV code 0

4.

Jas 10.4.8

it begind to install runs for a bit then stops at

unknown SIGSEGV code 0

Please some one tell me what i'm doing wrong?

I know the discs for # 3 and #4 must work because on a older INTEL Celeron 950mHz they go up to a white apple screen

(i know that the celeron is not SSe2 or SSe3, thus it freezes there....)

so that rules out 3 and 4 because of an intel vs AMD thing?

but what about #1 or 2 they both are advertised as AMD??

I am really new to the whole OSx86 scene.

thanks in advance
