Hope you can help... Thanks for putting the effort into getting the bios, But. I was unable to do your Rom as it's in a .bin file. I'm not Familiar with HP, but is there anyway you can make a back-up of the Rom you have? Typically this is done with AFUDOS for exp..... However I'm not sure what program you would use on the HP to extract the Rom to a .rom image. I'm not a programmer but i think i found some useful information for you about HP Bioses. londonmac Posted February 5, 2009 Share Posted February 5, 2009 Yes, a Modded bios should fix that issue, or you can hit F8 before booting to type CPUS=1 boot flag to boot up with only 1 Core, there is many posts regarding this subject.Also, with your Notebook I would think it would support USB booting, as well there are many Subject regarding this. Most the time you can hit F11 for other boot options, I know on my Notebook it's F12, so pending your setup it could be different. You might try google.com to find out how to Flash you Notebook. You might also look to see if your Notebook supports HPET & Execute BIT enabling ( XD, I think it the Short hand ). These Must be turned on as well in most setups, If XD is turned on, try turning it off, I know with my system turned off will let me boot using 1 Core to make Changes to the System. a big thankyou Donator, but can I just clarify WHICH BIOS from the long list linked at the top of this page is the right one for the F3s V. You can try to load this DSDT file, since, I think both your and my laptop has same bios. To use this, you have to have PCEFI_v9 installed and you need to put DSDT.aml file in your root drive. For me both core started working with this. Also, if you want to have both core working without dsdt patch, you can try to pass "idlehalt=0" during boot instread of "cpus=1". Hope this helps. Thanks. I don't know what Disabler.kext does but now Leo 10.5.6 boots without any boot flags.
