Kyahx Posted February 26, 2008 Share Posted February 26, 2008 I have a strange sound issue, after I boot everything works perfect. I can turn on iTunes and listen for hours...however if I let it sit for a while with nothing playing (go downstairs to make dinner or something) when I come back my sound has stopped working. I still get volume controls, iTunes will look like its playing (slider moves and all of that). It seems as if my sound-card will "go to sleep" if I don't use it for a certain period of time...rebooting the machine fixes it. Specs: Asus A8N-SLI with onboard AC97 sound Dual-core AMD Opteron 170 GeForce 7600GT 10.5.2 Zephyroth Release with iLife '08 and all System Updates installed (and CPUID patched) post-install.
