Ok so i have the Jas Image and burnt it to DVD, good, try to boot, stops at the BSD something line, ok, turn off plug and play OS, thing loads up to the installer, findsmy firewire, usb, video, etc.... DOESNT find my HDD...

 

Specs

HP Media Center PC m7248n (if you want more detailed specs)

Athalon X2 4200+

1 GIG Ram

250Gig SATA

Onboard Controller (chipset is an ATI XPress 200, Motherboard Name: MS-7184, HP/Compaq motherboard name: AmethystM-GL6E_

128M ATI X300

RLTEK Ethernet, etc...

 

Not sure whats wrong

check the wiki hcl. Issues for sure with some SATA controllers, and I think with your chipset.

You're not- it can be hard to find some things... :dev:

If you go to : http://wiki.osx86project.org/wiki/index.ph...rt#Motherboards

you'll see the ATI Radeon Xpress 200 Chipset listed for a number of the motherboards.

They all say that Sil3112A SATA HDD not detected

So even though this HCL is for 10.4.1, I would say it's safe to assume that your problem in installing 10.4.3 is with the Sil3112A SATA chipset not working, so it can't see you Hard Drive!

Try using a PATA IDE hard drive- that works for most people. :D

I know, it sucks- but consider yourself lucky if SATA is your only problem with it (I'm not the biggest fan of HP)
