glitchbit
I have tried the modbin kernel and the vanilla 10.5.2 kernel but neither of them like JaS 10.4.8 kext files that relate to the ACPI. However the previous toh and vanilla 10.5.1 have no issues. I have not confirmed whether netkas 10.5.2 kernel, toh kernel 10.5.2 or zepth 10.5.2 kernel works (this new?) or not. It will not boot up correctly and putting in the proper 10.5.2 kexts just make it worse. The combo update from kalyway for 10.5.2 works but it hangs a long time while booting if you do not upgrade the kernel but if you upgrade the kernel with JaS 10.4.8 kexts in use then you may not be able to boot at all. For now I am not installing 10.5.2 kernel. Fortunately I split my hard drive in thirds 1 ubuntu, 2 OSX and I use SuperDuper! to clone them so that I will always have one working OSX. Ubuntu is not always enough to bring OSX back, nor is windows.
