Hi,

I'm running Windows Vista Ultimate x64 with this computer setup:

Intel Core 2 Duo E4500

XFX Geforce 8600GT

XFX nForce 680i LT

2x 250gb Seagate SATA2 in RAID 0

2x2gb OCZ Ram 800mhz

I tried installing iATKOS using this guide :

http://inihilist.wordpress.com/2008/01/07/...nd-fool-proof/

Everything was going well, nothing complicated, until i boot for the first time with the iATKOS DVD in. After the boot-up, i pressed F8 as mentioned in the guide and wrote -v. It then loads for about 5 seconds (write 3-4 lines in console mode) then reboots. After that, i just told my self to fotget about it and go back to windows, but now it says i have no operating system.

I tried using the Windows Vista CD to Repair the installation, and unfortunatly, it says it canot repair it (Why? No idea, that's all it says) so I ran a command prompt in the Vista DVD repair menu, check out if for some reason, my HD would of been swiped out, but no, all my data is still there...I would like to at least make my Windows Vista Ultimate x64 bootable again to start with, and if possible, make this Mac OSx installation sucessful on my RAID setup (wich i blame for not behing able to install Mac OSx as i had a lot of problem with Linux Debian and this setup earlier, and then dropped the idea)

Thanks a lot

Eruc

-Edit-

2 updates.

1- Ive looking more closly to what it says while trying to boot the installation and there isnt any errors. It says a couple lines of Loading this Loading that, then theres 1 message that doesnt look like starting with the word Loading but it dissapears too fast to read it.

2-I'm currently reading another guide (http://forum.insanelymac.com/index.php?showtopic=87901) and I see that having a SATA DVD Burner / Reader can matter so i just wanted to add that to the hardware list.

-Edit2-

The exact error when i boot my computer without any CD/DVD :

Missing Operating System

I had the same problem. I feel like for some iATKOS just doesnt work (I tried booting it in VMware on two different machines and both had problems with it (even from the ISO).

The no operating system problem is just because the proper partition isn't active. Try getting into the boot menu and try booting the Windows partition directly. If that works you know you can set the windows partition to be active using DISKPART and everything should be back to normal.

oh ;) I just deleted the Mac parition thinking about something like (Mac parition used as the booting one or something) Anyway, ill try this right now.

Since iATKOS doesnt work for me, is there anything other version i can use? Is there a possibility another one would work? Ex. KALYWAY
