LIJI Posted February 23, 2008 Share Posted February 23, 2008 Hello, I've tried installing Mac OS X 10.4.8 on a Virtual Machine (VMWare Workstation) for a while. However, I keep getting this error when booting to the DVD: /var/run/installer: Read-only file system After getting a few illegal instruction errors that error is printed on the screen in a while(true) fashion. PC Spec: Windows XP (Sp2) Intel Core 2 Dou @1.86 GHz 1 GB Ram Image: Mac OS X 10.4.8 [JaS AMD-Intel-SSE2-SSE3 with PPF1 & PPF2].iso I've been able to run Mac OS X on a virtual machine before, however it was a preinstalled VMWare image.
