xenonex2003
Hi all, Has anyone had success running the os's described in the subject with vmware? I know 10.5.1 is not possible but I thought Kalyway 10.4.10 would've worked. I downloaded the iso and used the ppf-o-matic to inject the patch. I then burned the DVD and followed a guide from the OSX86 forum. The OS installs fine but when I restart the VM a whole lot of stuff scrolls doewn the screen and then stops. Is there anyone out there who has had success with a system similar to mine. My system is: AMD 64 X2 4400+ ASUS M2NPV-VM NFORCE 430 CHIPSET ATI RADEON 2400HD 2GB DDR2 800MHZ RAM 500GB SATA2 HDD 60GB IDE HDD PS2 KEYBOARD USB MOUSE Thanks for any help. samsung
You did not write the type of DVD you're using. I read that this does not work unless you have a SATA DVD unit. I will get one tomorrow to test but in the meantime I would like to confirm this fact. xenonex2003
I am not using a SATA DVD reader. Why would that make a difference? I mean, the cdrom is only used while installing and it installs fine. It just won't startup properly. ~pcwiz
10.5 doesn't work in VMware PERIOD. Nothing to do with SATA burners or anything. And the other problem is you are using Intel DVDs on an AMD system.
