doobiebro
Hi, I have a hackintosh, which previously ran 10.4.8 Install with kalyway 10.5.1 worked, haven't tested vanilla but I'm assuming it won't work because of mij PentiumD processor Rig specs: mobo: Asus P5VD2-MX (onboard lan & audio not working) Processor: Pentium D 805 Graphics: Asus Geforce 7300GT (silent) Network: RTL8139 Standard firewire PCI card M-audio FW410 audio card PC EFI working, vanilla not tested. The problem is this: whenever I install Natit or NVinject, I get up to after the grey bootscreen. It shows the mouse, and then just stops doing anything. Mouse still reacts, but the menubar and dock are not loaded. I tried downloading the original kexts from a topic about these sort of issues, but found nothing related to 7300GT/GTS. I changed the device ID's to 0x0393, but that didn't work either. I also tried using the kexts from my macbook's original leopard installation but these produced similair results. I now took de Kexts from my previous 10.4.8 installation, and got at least resolution switching, but no CI/QE, it boots fine with Natit.kext inserted, so this is kind of weird. I'd really like CI/QE, and as i've seen other people with 7300GT's working straight out of the box, I request all their help, so this mystery can solved. Thanks in advance. graphics.tiff Link to comment https://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/89465-trouble-with-7300gts/ Share on other sites
doobiebro
ok, problem partially solved, I determined it was the TV out, can't boot with this, and the interface just disappears when I plug it back in and say 'detect displays'. Mouse is still on screen but not reacting, none of the keyboard shortcuts seem to be doing anything. I'd like TV out to work also, would this be possible? doobiebro
why doesn't anyone reply to TV-out issues? i've searched the forum and more people appear to be having these issues, but none of them know how to fix them, and neither do i. I have the same problem with a 7300GS, I get a kernel panic when I use the TV-out. Only thing that helped booting into leopard was using 10.4.8 Geforce/Nvidia kexts, which leaves me without CI/QE, and front row, which was kinda why I wanted leopard in the first place. I replaced the Geforce kexts with the original leopard ones, which worked, but still no CI/QE, I've then reimplemented the NV10-NV50 kexts (still using 10.4.8 resman.kext) and now I get the kernel panics again, even in safe mode so I'm f d Any help would be greatly appreciated concerning this issue, not just by me but by a whole bunch of people. Mike Phillips
Hi Guys & Gals i have a 7300gt working in part i used the NVINSTALLER 4.1 available here - http://scottdangel.com/blog/?p=21 and the Natit Duel fix available here http://forum.insanelymac.com/index.php?act...ost&id=6599 If you reboot with the tvout plugged in it causes a kernel panic and will not load, if you plug the tvout in after loading and then detect displays in system preferences you get full access to everything. if anyone can improve on this please let me know.
