poc Posted February 22, 2008 Share Posted February 22, 2008 Hi all, Did the software update on my Vostro 1400 and it broke the usual stuff and I fixed it using the excellent Vostro guide here. But then after the final reboot my onboard keyboard and mouse/trackpad stopped working. here's what I have done so far: - external USB keyb and mouse work fine - boot from iatkos 1.0r2 DVD and keyb and mouse work fine - boot from iatkos DVD and do a rd=disk0s2 and keyb and mouse work fine - moved original Extensions.kext back and made no difference - ran disk repair permissions - no difference - no other issues reporting Anyone have any ideas? Got the info from this topic: http://forum.insanelymac.com/index.php?sho...87139&st=40 The kexts you need are there in a zip file. Had to do use Kext helper - search for it here on the forum and had to do twice for it to take. Also ran the -f option when booting to force the kext to load.
