enslaved87
Well, I installed 10.5.1 flawlessly -- everything works. Asus M2n-E amd 6000+ x2 64 @ 3300mhz -- watercooled 2gb @ 800mhz 1 sata x 300gb 1 pata x 160 EVGA 8800 gtx Onboard HD audio using Azalia Linksys LNE100TX using Tulip Anyways, with that out of the way --- everything works perfectly like I said, EXCEPT.... when it boots, I do not get the apple logo splash screen, instead i get the verbose unix style text. That was great for troublshooting drivers and whatnot, but now that it runs great....I want to hide that uglyness. I tried the nvraw boot-args and it says that nvram is not compatable with my computer. SO...I appear to be at a loss here...any help fellas? Thanks in advance! enslaved87
hmm...interesting..nobody can shed some light on this? Although it seems like a rather lame thing to complain about, this is the last thing holding me back from a 100% COMPLETELY flawless installation! Help! Guest Snowski
Easy - Open Terminal window then type: sudo nano /Library/Preferences/SystemConfiguration/com.apple.Boot.plist - provide password - Use the arrow keys to move the cursor. - remove the flag -v located in: <key>Kernel Flags</key> <string>HERE</string> - Ctrl+O to save (and then press Enter to save) and Ctrl+X to close. - Reboot - Enjoy the spinning logo Link to comment https://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/89008-zeph-install-of-1051-lacking-grey-apple-boot-logo/#findComment-635900 Share on other sites
